Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta seeks a dynamic Youth Development Director to lead play centers, teen leadership, day camps, and membership initiatives. You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage grants and budgets, and develop programs that expand community participation while ensuring safety and compliance.

Expect collaboration with multiple branches and strong community partnerships. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s in a related field and several years of program or people management

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 2+ years plus 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supervising staff and volunteers and managing programs.
• Ability to manage grants, budgets, and reporting obligations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operating plans for program growth, impact and safety.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of staff and volunteers within the department.
• Oversee branch grant program to ensure standards, policies, and budgets are met.
• Design processes for strong youth development programs and community partnerships.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff/volunteers.
• Monitor budgets and forecast financial progress for the branch.
