Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads seeks a Youth Development Director to lead before/after school care, summer camp, School's Out, and teen programs. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive engagement in line with the association's mission.

You will also support the annual giving campaign, oversee program development, and ensure compliance with state licensing and safety standards, while fostering member communities.

Qualifications

• Staff shall be in good character and reputation.
• Minimum age of 21 years or older; 48 college credits with 12 in child-related courses; 1 year of programmatic experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise licensed child care programs (Before/After School, Summer Camp, School’s Out, teen programs).
• Lead annual giving and association initiatives as Program Director for assigned programs.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff; ensure licensing and quality standards.
• Develop programs, engage members, recruit volunteers and manage operations.
