Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a Youth Development Director to provide hands-on leadership for programs such as play centers, teen leadership, day camps, and membership. This role may require outdoor activities and extensive collaboration with staff and volunteers across branches.

You will develop operating plans, supervise staff, manage grants, and foster partnerships with community organizations to expand services and ensure safety and quality in all offerings.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of people or program management experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in related field.
• 1+ year of supervisory responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate and manage information to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet grant obligations.
• Proficient with computers and various applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote program growth, impact, and safety.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of staff and volunteers related to the department.
• Oversee branch grant program to meet standards, policies, and budget.
• Design practices and procedures for strong youth development programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate Afterschool Department staff and volunteers.
• Manage budgets and monitor expenditures and revenue.
