Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a Youth Development Director to lead before/after school care, summer camps, School's Out programs, and teen activities. This role includes staff supervision, budgeting, program development, and fundraising efforts to support the association’s mission.

The position requires strong leadership, CPR/First Aid certifications, and a commitment to YMCA values, with several responsibilities that support member engagement and program quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include: staff shall be of good character; ability to carry out responsibilities and training; capable of communicating with emergency personnel; written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Cause-Driven leadership for before/after school care, summer camp, and teen programs.
• Lead annual support campaign and participate in fundraising.
• Hire, train, supervise staff and ensure program quality and compliance.
