Job summary

The YMCA in North Carolina is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to manage the before/after/summer program, ensuring compliant delivery and strong grant performance. The role emphasizes program quality, safety, and staff support.

You will lead staff, supervise children, coordinate curriculum and activities, monitor attendance, and report to the Associate Regional Programming Director. This role requires strong communication and collaboration with families and partners.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• EDU 119 and BSAC required; minimum of 2 years in program coordination or management.
• Experience with grant-funded programs and compliance is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of before/after/summer program, ensuring smooth execution.
• Coordinate events, activities, and sessions aligned with grant objectives.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate group leaders; conduct regular staff meetings.
• Supervise children to ensure safety; enforce program rules and address issues.
• Engage participants and communicate with parents; monitor attendance and progress.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, sanitation, and YMCA policies; prepare reports.
