Job summary

YMCA of Catawba Valley is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to manage before/after/summer programs, ensure grant compliance, and support staff and families. The role emphasizes safety, curriculum delivery, and program improvement.

The individual will collaborate with site directors, monitor attendance, and report on outcomes, ensuring high-quality, compliant program operations aligned with YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred; EDU 119 and BSAC may be preferred
• Strong understanding of youth development and grant-funded programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of before/after/summer program
• Coordinate and schedule program events and sessions
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and licensing rules
• Support recruitment, training, and evaluation of group leaders
• Supervise children and maintain a safe environment
• Communicate with parents/guardians about activities and progress
• Prepare reports on program activities and outcomes
