Job summary

YMCA of Catawba Valley is seeking a School Age Program Coordinator to oversee the before, after, and summer programs. You will coordinate activities, support staff, and ensure grant-funded initiatives are implemented successfully.

The role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, and maintaining compliance with licensing and grant requirements while fostering engagement with children and families.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred; EDU 119 and BSAC required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination or management, preferably in a youth development or educational setting
• Experience with grant-funded programs and compliance is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the before/after/summer program, ensuring smooth execution
• Coordinate and schedule program events, activities, and sessions
• Ensure activities align with grant objectives and organizational goals
• Monitor licensing and sanitation compliance
• Supervise and support group leaders and staff
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide professional development
• Develop strategies to engage participants and communicate with parents
