Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Resident Coordinator (Full-Time) to oversee the Pico-Union Transitional Housing Program. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and orderly operations while supporting residents and coordinating with case managers.

This on-site role requires strong communication, crisis response, and the ability to work nights/weekends. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and a valid California driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of direct services experience with high-risk transition age youth preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Daily house and property inspection to maintain safety and curb appeal.
• Maintain inventory of program supplies and coordinate meal support.
• Assist with program intakes/exits and prepare intake materials.
• Coordinate and document on-site educational, life skills, and healing arts programs.
• Drive SPY vehicles to transport residents to services and activities.
• Coordinate volunteers and build relationships with residents; enforce house rules and provide crisis response.
• Report issues to the Housing Programs Manager and case managers; track outcomes.
