Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles seeks a Resident Coordinator for the Pico-Union Transitional Housing Program to oversee daily operations, safety, and resident relations during evening shifts.

You will support intake and exits, manage program supplies, coordinate meals, and work with case managers to address housing stability needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in social work or related field, strong communication, a valid CA driver’s license, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, psychology or related field.
• Direct service experience with high-risk youth is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily property and safety oversight for the transitional housing site.
• Assist with program intakes/exits and organize supplies and meals.
• Enforce house rules and provide crisis response and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate with case managers and housing staff to support residents.
• Drive SPY vehicles to transport residents as needed.
