Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles is seeking a Transitional Housing Evening Site Supervisor to oversee the Pico-Union program serving TAY experiencing housing instability. You will supervise a team of resident coordinators, support staff, and case managers to ensure safety, cleanliness, and supportive services.

The role includes coaching staff, triaging referrals, conducting intakes and move-ins, liaising with partners, and ensuring HMIS documentation, contract compliance, and timely reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or related lived experience strongly considered.
• 3-4 years direct services to high-risk TAY required.
• 3-4 years accessing social services (homeless services, DCFS, probations, DPSS) required.
• Knowledge of Housing First, PYD, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day program operations to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate a team of staff and case managers.
• Provide trauma-informed guidance and crisis intervention as needed, including after-hours driving to site-related emergencies.
• Ensure program policies and site protocols align with contracts and best practices.
• Maintain logs, HMIS data, and timely reporting; monitor compliance and budgets.
• Coordinate referrals, intakes, move-ins, and connections to housing resources.
• Drive to meetings, trainings, and off-site obligations as required.
