Job summary

Safe Place for Youth is seeking a Resident Coordinator (Part-Time) for Evening shifts in Pico-Union, Los Angeles. The role focuses on overseeing the Transitional Housing Program, maintaining safety, and supporting youth through crisis response and case management.

The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work weekends and evenings. A valid California driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required to transport clients to services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years direct services to high-risk transition-age youth preferred.
• Trauma-informed care and harm reduction knowledge preferred.
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
• Driver’s license and ability to transport clients required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of the residence to ensure safety and order.
• Coordinate meals and inventory of program supplies.
• Assist with intake packets, youth living spaces, and support.
• Provide crisis response and conflict resolution among residents.
• Report health and safety issues to Maintenance and Housing staff.
• Build relationships with residents and collaborate with case managers.
