Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources is seeking a Junior Case Manager to provide wrap-around housing services for families and TAY in Oakland, coordinating with the Oakland Housing Authority and partners to place clients in stable housing.

You will conduct assessments, develop service plans, and connect clients to employment, income improvement and violence prevention resources, while meeting evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in housing navigation or case management.
• Familiar with trauma-informed care and engaging violence-impacted individuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient with Excel.
• Experience with immigration laws/policies affecting marginalized communities and housing.
• Experience working with undocumented or justice-system-impacted youth.
• Familiar with restorative justice, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
• Valid California driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Availability to work evenings to meet participants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify barriers to stability and functioning.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered support for housing instability.
• Coordinate housing needs with clients, case managers and housing specialists.
• Collaborate with Housing Navigator and partners to streamline housing options.
• Develop individual service plans with services, referrals and linkages.
• Maintain landlord records and comply with data reporting requirements.
• Meet with participants weekly to monitor progress and motivate.
