Zusammenfassung

Covenant House New Jersey is seeking a Youth Engagement Specialist to support 18-24 year-olds through trauma-informed, harm-reduction centered case management. You will engage youth, assess needs, develop plans, and coordinate housing, health, wellness, education and employment goals within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include documentation in HMIS/ETO, facilitating group activities, crisis de-escalation, and connecting youth to community resources.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work or related field.
• Experience with youth 18-24 experiencing homelessness or trafficking preferred; knowledge of NJ benefits.
• Strong communication, self-starter, team player; Spanish helpful.

Aufgaben

• Provide unconditional positive regard to youth and build supportive relationships.
• Conduct assessments, develop and monitor Success Plans.
• Coordinate housing, health, wellness, employment and education goals.
• Document in HMIS/ETO data systems; prepare case reviews.
• Facilitate youth group activities and community engagement.
• Attend daily meetings and supervision; cover front desk as needed.
• Transport clients using agency vehicles as needed.
