Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support after-school childcare and school-age programs. Under supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will help develop and operate a quality program that complies with Delacare rules for school-age centers, serving children ages 6–12.

Responsibilities include assisting the director in delivering age-appropriate activities, ensuring safety, maintaining positive relationships with families and school

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for Level I; 20+ for Level II/III.
• Ability to pass FBI and Delaware background checks.
• Must possess required childcare certificates and IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform all job responsibilities in compliance with current state licensing requirements for school age childcare centers.
• Assist Childcare or Program Director in delivering a variety of age-appropriate programs and activities reflecting the five core program areas.
• Supervise children within guidelines and maintain safety and order.
• Maintain productive relationships with parents, school faculty and administrators and staff.
• Present yourself as a positive role model for children at all times.
• Adhere to organizational policies and Delaware STARS requirements.
• Assume other tasks and responsibilities as needed.
