Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks a Youth Development Professional to support the development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program. The role requires adherence to current Delacare rules and collaboration with the Childcare or Program Director.

The position involves delivering age-appropriate activities for children ages 6–12, building positive relationships with families and staff, and modeling the Club's core values daily.

Qualifications

• Must have School Age Site Assistant Certificate.
• Level II requires First Aid/CPR Certification or completion within two months.
• Level III requires a School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.
• All levels require FBI clearance and background checks per DelaCare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and operation of a quality school-age childcare program.
• Ensure compliance with Delacare rules for school-age centers.
• Support Childcare or Program Director in delivering age-appropriate programs.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors.
• Present yourself as a positive role model for children.
