Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support the operation of quality school-age childcare at a Clayton, Delaware site. Under supervision of the Childcare or Program Director, you will help run age-appropriate activities in compliance with state licensing.

This role requires adherence to Delaware STARS and OCCL policies, and a focus on safety, supervision, and building positive youth development outcomes for children aged 6–12.

Qualifications

• All Levels must be able to pass FBI clearance, state background checks and registry checks as required by DelaCare regulations.
• Certificates listed in the minimum qualifications are required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist Childcare or Program Director in delivering age-appropriate programs reflecting the Boys & Girls Club’s core program areas for children ages 6–12.
• Ensure safe implementation of programs and facilities, checking equipment and activities for safety and suitability.
• Support relationships with parents, school staff, and visitors while maintaining professional behavior as a positive role model.
