Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain seeks a Youth Development Professional in Kinston, NC to plan, organize and implement diversified programs for core BGCCP areas. Under unit director supervision, you will help youth prepare for success and support daily learning activities.

Responsibilities include creating engaging program plans, supervising members, and ensuring safe, high-quality experiences while mentoring volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and knowledge of youth development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success.
• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Promote program participation and special events.
• Orient new members to program area and safety rules.
• Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and activities.
• Develop weekly and monthly program plans.
• Monitor safety and quality of programs.
• Recognize member participation and maintain attendance records.
• Maintain CACFP point of service and cleanup.
• Maintain a productive work environment and participate in meetings.
• Drive the club van when needed.
• Participate in training opportunities.
