Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a Youth Activity Worker to support members ages 6–12 through engaging, developmentally appropriate programs. The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and community collaboration to foster positive youth development.

The position is full-time with benefits, and requires rotating site coverage within the region. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within two months of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
• Must possess a School Age Site Assistant Certificate from the Department of Education.
• Level Three requires a School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of age-appropriate programs reflecting the organization’s core areas and Youth Development Strategy.
• Supervise and support children ages 6–12, ensuring safety and positive behavior.
• Recruit members and develop program activities; participate in evaluation and community outreach.
• Coordinate with parents, school staff, and club professionals to promote youth development.
• Attend to licensing requirements and maintain program quality.
• Contribute to a positive organizational identity and community presence.
