Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is hiring a Youth Activity Worker to lead programs for children ages 6–12 and to help maintain a safe, engaging environment across clubs. The role focuses on planning activities, supervising youth, and upholding state licensing standards.

The position is full-time, with benefits, and may include travel between sites within the region to ensure adequate coverage and program delivery. Summer hours may vary, and the role emphasizes leadership in club operations.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification required or completed within two months of hire.
• Driver's license with fewer than 5 points required.
• School Age Site Assistant Certificate from the Department of Education required.
• School Age Site Coordinator Administrator certificate from the Department of Education required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate programs for children ages 6–12 reflecting core program areas.
• Supervise children and youth in accordance with licensing guidelines.
• Meet annual training requirements (18 hours) and develop partnerships with parents, faculty, and community members.
• Assist with recruitment, program development, evaluation, and outreach; float between sites to ensure adequate coverage.
