Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Youth Development Leader to support before/after school and day camp programs at our Woodlands location. You’ll create a safe, engaging environment where kids feel valued and excited to learn.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, implementing YMCA safety policies, and fostering positive behavior. Part-time role with day camp and ISD calendar shifts; weekend availability helpful.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and a high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience with youth in a licensed facility, school, church, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth in before/after school and day camp programs.
• Monitor safety, supervise activities, and conduct headcounts per YMCA policies.
• Lead age-appropriate activities and adapt to diverse needs.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA team.
• Help maintain a clean, organized program space meeting licensing standards.
