The Armed Services YMCA in Hinesville, GA is seeking a Youth Development Director to lead After School Care, Day Camp, Teen Programs, and related youth services. You will oversee program development, staffing, budgets, and compliance with state licensing and safety standards.

You will partner with schools, parents, and community groups; manage fundraising activities and Community Impact Campaign efforts; promote healthy living and positive youth development across branches.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent working knowledge of child development principles and professional training with school age kids.
• 1-2 years related experience preferred for coordination or supervision of childcare programs.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications are required or preferred.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children.
• Must be at least 21 years old and able to relate to diverse groups.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and coordinates the school age childcare and day camp programs for assigned locations; builds teen programs.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers; evaluates performance and motivates team.
• Manages budgets related to the position and ensures program fees are collected.
• Ensures compliance with state licensing and safety procedures; maintains required documentation.
• Plans and supervises teen activities and expands related classes and programs.
• Maintains program facilities and equipment to support a healthy environment.
• Maintains relationships with licensing agencies, schools, and community groups; responds to inquiries.
• Provides staff leadership for fundraising and Community Impact Campaign activities.
• Keeps accurate records and compiles program statistics; evaluates participation and effectiveness.
• Prevents child abuse and reacts appropriately if incidents occur.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in related field

One to two years related experience preferred

CPR, First Aid, AED certifications

Background check clearance

Must be at least 21 years of age
