Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an X-ray Technician to perform digital radiography per provider orders. The role covers patient positioning, protection, and documentation in EMR, with a focus on safety and quality care.

This position may require travel to other facilities and may involve duties such as ordering supplies, lab tests, and scribing as needed. ARRT certification and BLS are required or preferred, with an associate degree in radiologic technology being common.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or preferred; licensure in state where performed.
• BLS certification required or preferred on hire.
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic exams with proper patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up immobilization equipment and maintains patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Selects correct technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• May travel to other facilities to meet patient care needs.
• Maintains sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
