Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographs according to provider orders. You will work under provider direction, ensuring patient safety, proper positioning, and accurate EMR documentation.

Roles include equipment setup, sterile technique, and potential travel to other facilities to support care needs. The ideal candidate has ARRT certification, BLS, and about 1 year of radiation safety/patient care experience, with EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained prior to patient contact.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider ordered radiographic examinations with correct patient positioning and protection.
• Sets up and maintains immobilization equipment as required for safety.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Travel to other facilities as needed and adjust hours to meet patient care needs.
• Practice sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor and participate in supply/lab duties as needed.
