Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks an X-ray Technician to perform provider-ordered radiographic exams, ensure patient safety through proper positioning and shielding, and accurately document encounters in the EMR.

ARRT certification and BLS are required or preferred; EPIC EHR and PACS experience are preferred. The role includes light travel to off-site facilities, collaboration with a multilingual care team, and maintaining equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure preferred.
• BLS certification preferred or required.
• Experience with EMR/EHR and PACS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic exams with proper patient positioning.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment and ensures safety.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Selects technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills and may travel to off-site facilities as needed.
• Assists with sterilization, supplies, scheduling and scribing as needed.
