Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Michigan seeks an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiographic studies under provider orders. You will work within the imaging team to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include ARRT certification and BLS; an associate degree in radiologic technology is preferred. Prior radiology experience and EHR/PACS familiarity are a plus. Travel to other facilities may be required to support providers.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with correct patient positioning and radiation protection.
• Sets up/adjusts immobilization equipment and ensures patient safety.
• Documents patient encounters in the EMR.
• Selects technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• May travel to off-site facilities to support providers.
• Maintains sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
• Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Assists with lab tasks, supply ordering, and related duties as needed.
