Job summary

CareNow in Denton, TX is seeking an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant. You will perform imaging per physician orders, take vital signs, collect specimens, and document in the EHR, while assisting with patient check-in/out and maintaining logs. A CMA program or MA training is required, with state GMRT/LMRT/NCT licensure and BLS within 30 days.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year clinical experience, EHR familiarity, and AAMA certification. A sign-on bonus up to $1,000 is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Current BLS certification is required within 30 days of start.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Document patient history in EHR and maintain records/logs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP)
