Job summary

CareNow in Texas is seeking an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff, performing clinical duties, patient intake and front desk tasks to ensure smooth operations in a busy urgent care setting.

Requires LMRT license, high school diploma, radiologic services training, and MA program if available; BLS within 30 days and drug/alcohol screenings within 3 months may be required; sign-on bonus up to $1000.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of BOTP preferred.
• LMRT license in state of residency required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties supporting providers and nursing staff, including vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs, splints, dressings and exam room prep.
• Checks patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative with front desk duties.
• Assists with front desk tasks: greeting patients, processing check-ins/outs, end-of-day procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs for inhouse lab work, drug screens and external lab results.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Collaborates with Center Manager and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high patient satisfaction.
