Job summary

CareNow is seeking an X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant in Texas to perform imaging per orders, collect samples, take vital signs, and administer IM injections. You will document thoroughly in the EHR and help with check-in/out while maintaining accurate logs and records.

The role requires prior clinical experience, an approved Medical Assistant program, and relevant radiology licenses. BLS and drug screen certifications are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain in-house lab records and sendouts; track logs.
