Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking a Limited X-ray Machine Operator/Medical Assistant to join our team. You will perform imaging services, vital signs, EKGs, injections, and manage patient flow, with emphasis on quality patient care.

Requirements include MA program completion, RT/LXMO LMRT license, and BLS; prior EHR experience is a plus. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus up to $2,000.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical patient-care experience.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or LXMO/LMRT license in state of residency required.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain breath alcohol and drug screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology and lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
