Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Technician and Medical Assistant to join our Austin area clinics. The role combines radiologic technologist duties with front desk support to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of approved BOTP preferred.
• LMRT license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting beneficial.
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
