Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to provide imaging services and patient care across our clinics. We value teamwork and patient-focused service.

As a Limited Scope Operator/MA, you will take vital signs, perform EKGs and IM injections, process x-ray imaging, document in the EHR, and support check-in/check-out while maintaining records and patient comfort. Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care settings.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/LMRT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house labs, and external lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
