Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Charlottesville seeks an X-Ray Technician to perform digital radiography under provider orders and within scope of practice. You will assist in patient care, ensure radiation safety, and document encounters in the EMR.

The role requires ARRT certification and may include travel to other facilities to support providers. Associates in radiologic technology with licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in radiologic technology (ARRT) and valid state licensure preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and patient-care skills are expected.
• Ability to work within scope of practice under provider direction.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs provider-ordered radiographic examinations with proper patient positioning and radiation safety.
• Sets up and adjusts immobilization equipment and ensures patient safety and comfort.
• Accurately documents patient encounters in EMR.
• Determines proper technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment.
• Maintains skills and travel to other facilities as needed to support providers.
