Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Virginia seeks a skilled X-Ray Technician to perform provider-ordered radiographic exams with emphasis on safety and accuracy. The role requires ARRT certification/registration and state licensure (preferred), with 1 year radiology experience and proficiency in EPIC EHR and PACS.

The position supports multiple facilities and may require travel to meet patient care needs. The team values patient safety, sterile technique, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification/registration is required or preferred as applicable
• State licensure is preferred depending on the state
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care is preferred
• Experience with Radiology Information System is preferred
• EPIC EHR and PACS proficiency is preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely perform radiographic examinations with proper positioning and radiation protection
• Set up and adjust equipment and immobilization devices
• Document patient encounters in EMR accurately
• Select technical factors to safeguard patient and equipment
• Travel to other facilities to support providers as needed
• Maintain sterile technique and report equipment issues promptly
