Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, and staff management. You will help drive sales, manage schedules, and ensure security and procedures are followed to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and associates.

The role requires at least 2 years of store management experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with POS, scheduling, HRIS, and attendance tracking.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric environment.
• High school diploma is required.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS and time-and-attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in daily assignments and directing work for associates, including managing break schedules and priorities.
• Assist in hiring decisions and provide feedback on applicant selection and staff advancement.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies and standards, and address violations as directed by the Chief Workshop Manager.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader by coaching Bear Builders and enhancing the Guest experience and Experience First culture.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
• Oversee inventory management processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team that delivers an exceptional Guest experience.
