Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations and guest service. You will lead staff during shifts, assist in hiring decisions, and drive sales while upholding brand standards.

This role requires a customer-centric mindset, strong leadership, and the ability to manage inventory and merchandising in a fast-paced retail environment. You will contribute to a positive Guest experience and a collaborative team culture across the workshop.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric business
• High school diploma
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS, and time/attendance systems

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and staff priorities.
• Assist in hiring and promotions decisions, including giving feedback.
• Lead and motivate the team during shifts, ensuring policy compliance and safety.
• Drive sales by coaching associates and delivering a strong Guest experience.
• Ensure merchandising displays align with brand standards and create inviting environments.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest service.
