Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, staff management, and execution of sales and marketing strategies. This role helps drive store success while maintaining a positive experience for guests and associates.

You will oversee scheduling, daily assignments, recruitment support, coaching, floor leadership, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric business.
High school diploma is required.
Basic understanding of common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).
Preferred: 2–4 years of store management experience; Associate's degree in business, management, or related field.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and directing work, including scheduling breaks and priorities.
Lead and motivate the team during shifts and enforce store policies and standards.
Drive sales on the floor by coaching staff and delivering a strong Guest experience consistent with brand culture.
Manage merchandising displays to align with brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
Oversee inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
Contribute to building a high-performing team that delivers exceptional Guest experiences.
