Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in operations, guest service, and staff management. You will drive sales, coach the team, and ensure brand standards across merchandising and safety.

Responsibilities include scheduling, hiring input, and leading shifts while maintaining a positive guest experience and store security. A strong emphasis is placed on teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment.
• High school diploma.
• Basic understanding of store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in determining associates’ daily assignments and directing work.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions with feedback on applicant selection.
• Lead and inspire the team during shifts, enforcing policies and standards.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader by coaching Bear Builders and enhancing Guest experience.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and create an inviting environment.
• Oversee inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experience.
