Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a TEMP Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring excellent Guest service, efficient staff management, and effective execution of sales and marketing strategies.

You will lead and develop the team during shifts, coach Bear Builders, oversee inventory, merchandising, and adherence to brand standards, and help drive the Experience First culture to meet store targets.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric environment.
• High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS, and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and scheduling.
• Assist in hiring decisions and staff development.
• Lead and motivate the team during shifts and ensure policy adherence.
• Drive sales by coaching staff and delivering a strong Guest experience.
• Maintain brand standards for merchandising and store presentation.
• Oversee inventory reception, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team delivering exceptional Guest experiences.
