The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is looking for tutors to work shifts on campus at AUM. Tutors will provide academic support to undergraduate and graduate students, both in person and online. Responsibilities include demonstrating study techniques and encouraging independent resource access.
Applicants must be current AUM students with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This role entails using the appointment scheduling tool TracCloud for session logs and maintaining a sanitized work environment.
Tutors work shifts on campus in either the Learning Center or Instructional Support Lab. They meet with students in person or online to provide academic support to AUM’s students in their major area. They provide guidance, demonstrate with examples, and model effective note‑taking, study, and test‑taking techniques. Tutors also function as academic coaches by encouraging students and helping them learn how to access resources independently. Tutors utilize the appointment scheduling tool TracCloud for the purpose of entering post‑session summary notes for professors. Tutors are responsible for sanitizing their in‑person work stations, scheduling appointments in the absence of a front desk worker, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicant must be a currently‑enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at AUM, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
