Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring an entry-level Claims Representative (IAP) trainee. The program starts with a 4-week concept-based training, followed by onboarding and on-the-job work.

You will be mentored by experienced professionals and supported as you learn to investigate and resolve workers’ compensation claims. Ideal candidates are strong communicators, empathetic, and capable of multi-tasking in a structured, accountable, and ambitious team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2+ years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete the designated claims professional training program.
• Adjust workers’ compensation claims under supervision.
• Process mail, emails and claim documents according to status.
• Communicate with injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys and carriers.
• Investigate claims by gathering medical records, reports and statements.
• Determine coverage, compensability and benefits per guidelines.
• Document claim activity and prepare detailed reports.
• Administer indemnity and medical benefits with calendar-based actions.
• Participate in meetings and claim reviews as needed.
