Job summary

Carvana's Safe & Secure team keeps sites open, safe, and moving in all conditions. This boots-on-the-ground role protects associates, customers, and vehicles at the gate and the lot, conducts safety audits, and supports emergency responses as needed.

You must be ready for extreme weather, with open availability for storms, overnights, weekends, and post-storm shifts. This seasonal, full-time position includes benefits and a chance to contribute to a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid decision-making in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to build quick working relationships.
• Organize, plan and execute multiple tasks at once.
• Handle conflict in a positive, productive way.
• Able to report to work in extreme cold, snow, and ice.
• Open availability for storms, overnights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly and actively listen to signals.
• Monitor live cameras and investigate intrusion alerts using the security platform.
• De-escalate and collaborate with partners to resolve issues.
• Operate the Safe & Secure App and RFID procedures at the gate.
• Manage vehicle movement through Inspection Center gates and logs.
• Be trained in first aid, CPR, and AED and apply as needed.
• Execute snow and ice removal and maintain site safety in winter.
