Job summary

Carvana is seeking a boots-on-the-ground Safe & Secure teammate to protect associates, customers, and vehicles at the gate and on the lot. You’ll perform safety audits, enforce ingress/egress, and coordinate with Inspection Center and Logistics teams.

In this hourly, full-time role, you’ll respond to incidents, monitor cameras with our security platform, and uphold weather-ready procedures to keep the site open, safe, and moving.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Communicate clearly, listen actively, and signal status promptly.
• Use the Safe & Secure App and RFID tech to enforce ingress/egress procedures.
• Monitor live cameras, review footage, and investigate intrusion alerts so nothing on site catches us off guard.
• De-escalate conflicts and work with partners to resolve issues.
• Run vehicle movement at gate and inspections using SAS App and RFID tech.
• Receive first aid, CPR, and AED training and apply when needed.
• Respond to emergencies per protocols and maintain weather-ready site operations.
• Walk the site to reach restricted or hard-to-access areas and ensure safety.
