Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer in Denver, CO, to support and automate Windows infrastructure across ADC environments. The role requires hands-on expertise and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, with potential for commensurate clearance for AWS work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A+ or CN D or Network+ are optional credentials.
• Experience administering Windows operating systems and AD with basic networking knowledge.
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM/MECM familiarity; scripting in PowerShell preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows infrastructure services across multiple ADC environments: AD, DFS, DHCP, DNS, ECM, and Group Policy
• Troubleshoot and resolve service issues across the Windows stack; provide escalation support for Tier 1/2
• Migrate manual operations to code-defined, repeatable automation
• Define and monitor service health metrics; build and maintain alarms for proactive response
• Ensure services meet security compliance and hardening with Security Compliance team
• Create and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and SOPs
• Participate in on-call rotation for service-impacting events
