Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to support and modernize Windows infrastructure across ADC environments, using Infrastructure as Code and Ansible-based automation.

You will maintain critical Windows services, automate configurations, troubleshoot cross-service issues, and participate in on-call rotations while ensuring security compliance and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows infrastructure and Active Directory networks.
• Scripting in PowerShell and automation experience with IaC concepts.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows infrastructure services and AD/DNS/DHCP/DFS.
• Build Ansible playbooks and PowerShell automation for configuration and deployment.
• Troubleshoot cross-service issues and drive automation to reduce manual tasks.
• Define service health metrics and implement proactive alarming.
• Ensure security compliance in partnership with Security Compliance team.
• Create runbooks, diagrams, and SOPs; mentor juniors; participate in on-call.
