Job summary

Central Point Partners is seeking an End User IT Support specialist in Columbus, OH. You will administer workstations, troubleshoot user issues, and implement Windows-based LAN configurations to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based LAN.
• Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine possible solutions; test and implement solutions.
• Install, configure and maintain PCs, Windows networks, file servers, cabling, and related equipment; add/upgrade disks, printers.
• Perform and/or oversee software and application installation and upgrades.
• Plan and implement network security, including firewalls, VPN, host security, file permissions, and user management.
• Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to fix malfunctions.
• Develop and conduct training for system users on OS and applications; assist users in maximizing networks and computing systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security protocols when handling sensitive information and network data.
• Serve as IT liaison and provide consultation to personnel across departments for seamless tech integration.
• Deliver comprehensive user onboarding and ongoing technical training for staff.
• Manage and resolve help desk tickets efficiently with clear end-user communication.
• Maintain asset management records and inventory IT equipment, software licenses, and hardware deployments.
• Create documentation of troubleshooting procedures and IT processes for knowledge base.
• Provide reliable remote support using various tools and platforms.
• Other duties as assigned.
