Job summary

Transdev in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a Windows Dispatcher/Starter to coordinate vehicle assignments and operator scheduling. You will monitor service availability, maximize on-time performance, and minimize disruptions through effective communication with MOCC and operations staff.

Responsibilities include handling shift adjustments, maintaining daily documentation, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years’ dispatching experience.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, well organized, and time managed.
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Data entry experience and knowledge of Windows-based OS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage vehicle operators shift and scheduling adjustments.
• Utilize spare vehicles to support preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Aim for on-time gate performance and productivity.
• Pull-outs per schedule and maintain accurate trip manifests.
• Communicate effectively with MOCC.
• Document daily events such as attendance, issues, and disruptions.
• Verify operator credentials at shift start and reconcile fares.
• Manage lost and found items and maintain safety-focused work area.
