Job summary

TEKsystems in Louisville, KY is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site and remote end-user support. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2+ years of hands-on desktop support, Windows expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This contract position offers benefits and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on desktop support or help desk experience.
• Experience with Windows desktop systems and hardware repair.
• familiarity with printers, mobile devices, and workstation support.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and technical support via phone, remote sessions, and in-person.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software.
• Set up and deploy computer equipment, peripherals, and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve OS, application, printer, and workstation issues.
• Document and track incidents in the ticket system.
• Assist with hardware replacements, migrations, imaging, and deployment.
• Support user accounts and basic access requests.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and escalate complex issues.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory.
• Follow established support procedures and SLAs.
