Job summary
TEKsystems in New Orleans, LA, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to diagnose, repair, and optimize hardware and software systems. You will install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, networks, and security tools while providing end-user support and documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
- 1+ year IT support, desktop support, or similar role preferred.
- Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA or equivalent) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure hardware, software, peripherals, and IT systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and firmware upgrades.
- Monitor security systems and apply approved updates per policy.
- Provide timely end-user support and document resolutions.
- Create user-facing documentation and train staff on new systems.
- Coordinate onboarding/offboarding and provisioning/deprovisioning accounts.
