Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support in a secure government-operated environment, servicing ~275 end-user devices and helping keep critical systems up and running in Little Sandy, KY.

You'll troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, printers and peripherals, and collaborate with a field services team to deliver reliable, customer-focused IT support in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in Desktop Support or related IT role.
• Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices in Windows environments.
• Experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to think critically and solve issues independently.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for approximately 275 end-user devices.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals in Windows environments.
• Support Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments, resolving hardware, software, and user issues.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software break-fix issues.
• Deploy, upgrade, refresh, and replace workstation hardware.
• Document incidents, requests, and resolutions.
• Assist with support of security cameras, servers, and network switches as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to users with varying technical proficiency.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain service levels and continuity.
• Manage multiple priorities and service requests in a fast-paced setting.
