Job summary

Deutsche Windtechnik AG is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician II to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines in the US. You will interpret fault reports, maintain logs, and monitor turbine performance, while working independently on electrical and mechanical systems and potentially leading LOTO procedures.

Applicants should have 1+ years of wind turbine experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an associate degree is a bonus.
• 1+ years’ experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
• Valid driver’s license (NON-CDL or CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow safety rules.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass a physical exam and drug screening.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and climbing turbines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wind turbines.
• Interpret fault reports and maintain power generation reports and service logs.
• Work independently on electrical and mechanical components.
• Lead the Lock Out Tag Out program.
• Complete work orders, checklists, AWPs, etc.
• Assist with high-altitude safety and turbine component replacements.
